“Old fashioned” blogging – Yes, I think it has to be that way for me as well. As technological as this world is getting, it is nice still to be able to write/type a sort of story or news – we do not get much writing practice these days. Video blogs do sound good though.. like a Video diary, a blog pod cast… Maybe it is the way forward and your competition will inspire.

After having the new feature of Wordpress “Press it”, I have tried many videos from youtube on my blog and am impressed with the result. For many good keywords for whom that video was uploaded to Youtube, my blog is also indexed and hold the position right below to youtube’s. I think it was never easy than that. I am impressed with video blogging and going to have many such domains which could be used for video blogging. Of course resource of videos will be Youtube.

I have never tried a Youtube in my blog, but if it helps generating traffic i am surely gonna try that now.

From an SEO standpoint it’s a great idea to post your youtube video in your blog. You get a link back from Youtube and you’ll be indexed in Google’s video search results.

Youtube can be a great way to build traffic to your “old fashioned” blog, though. Especially since google is now aggressively including youtube results in the SERPS. Make sure you title your video with the keywords you are targeting. Another thing to remember is the more views your video gets (and good ratings, for that matter) the better it will rank.

I have previously used some video how to's on utube and on my site. I think for new internet marketers this is a great medium to provide step by step instructions. I find it builds trust and it helps me convert visitors into customers.
