Does anyone know of a reliable online resource that can explain funding for cancer research? There are so many worthy programs design to raise millions for research for a cure. I am interested in knowing where the money is being directed toward. I guess I am a bit of a cynic when it comes to altruism. Human nature being what it is, in a “ship” carrying a lot of passengers genuinely committed to a cure there are a few stowaways looking to pocket some monies at the expense of the sick and ill. The economic crisis the world is facing and those who had a hand in the predicament we’re all trapped makes me a little wary of good intentions. Sorry.

Reiterating what CTI says Nancy…immediately have your favorite doctor be aware of this. We have entire weekends in this area of America, which are devoted to walks for getting donations etc. relating to cancer. People bring their tents and barbecue grills even. Sometimes several hundred people can show up…it’s all in how you have the event organized and eventually advertised.

Nancy those lumps are often normal and are simple lymph nodes in your breast but they are something that you should inform you doctor about and monitor.

I haven't been diagnosed with cancer yet but I have lumps in my breast and am concerned about it. I am glad that someone is doing something in the research field for trying to elimanate this terrible disease.
